DARING JEWEL THEFT

£50,000 WORTH TAKEN FROM HOTEL SENSATION IN LONDON (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) ( United Service) LONDON, Friday. A sensational jewel robbery was discovered to-day at a fashionable West End Hotel in London. The thieves scaled a fire escape and entered the window of a bedroom occupied by Mrs. Anton Jurgon, wife of a millionaire margarine manufacturer. They ripped open a jewel-case containing the collection of years. Scotland Yard detectives are inquiring into the matter. The jewellery is valued at £50,000. It included a pearl necklace valued at £25,000 belonging to Mrs. Jurgon.
