CONCESSION CARDS
FEWER TRIPS FOR CHILDREN The Auckland Transport Board has issued new* school concession cards, reducing the number of trips for which each ticket is available from 12 to 10. This is the outcome of a decision made by the Tramway Committee of the City Council before the Transport Board took over: The intention was to limit the availability of the cards to the exact number of trips that would be made by a child travelling to and from school five days in a week. School concession cards are available to children under 18 years of age solely for the purpose of travelling to and from school, and may be used only during the hours from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.. although in the case of children attending night schools thev are good up to 9.30 p.m. They are not available on Saturdays. Sundays or on public or school holidays.
