POSED AS POLICEMAN

C From Yesterday's Late ~ Edition )

HUNTLY MINER’S BLUFF TALE OF GUN-SHY DOG (From Our Own Correspondent) HUNTLY, Friday. Stanley Percival Crimmins, a miner, of Huntly, was fined £5 and costs for trespassing on the University College reserve at Huntly in pursuit of game, at the Huntly Magistrate's Court this morning. A conviction was also recorded for impersonating Constable G. Robertson, of Huntly. Defendant’s story was that he was trying out a gun-shy dog, but Mr. Levien found it hard to believe that a man would walk eight miles for that purpose. The honorary ranger, Mr. W. L. Zester, was told by defendant to call at the police station and ask for Constable Robertson, but failed.
