WAIUKU TOWN BOARD
A special meeting of the Waiuku Town Board was held on Monday night, the chairman, Mr. J. J. A. James, presiding. Three tenders were received for the erection of the reservoir. They will be considered at a special meeting on April 29. The chairman reported that the board had met the members of the Golf Club and the lessor, Mr. F. Parker, with a view to ascertaining what the Golf Club required. It was resolved that the fences on the southern and eastern sides of the clubhouse should be moved back approximately one chain. The trustees also decided to plant a hedge around the property. Although the trustees decided to pay two-thirds of the money already expended by the Golf Club in cutting blackberry, gorse and thistles, the clerk was -instructed to write to the club stating that no payments would be made in future for work done on the reserve without the sanction of the trustees. The trustees undertook to do further tile draining on the reserve when the time was opportune.
