SHOOTING FATALITY

MORRINSVILLE TEACHER’S DEATH OPENING AT INQUEST (From Our Own Correspondent) y r O RRIN SVILLE. Monday. The school teacher, Mr. Cecil Walsh, who was found dead with a shot wound at Morrinsville this morning-, was a married man with two young children. An inquest was opened this afternoon, and was adjourned. Mr. Walsh had gone out to shoot rabbits, and it is presumed that he received his injuries by the trigger getting caught in the fence. Death must have been instantaneous, as the body was still halfway through the fence when found. Mr. Walsh had only been in charge of the Taharoa (Starkeys’ Road) school for a short while, and had not removed his wife and family from Huntly.
