BOGUS ELECTRICIAN
PROBLEM FOR S.M. FRAUD AGAINST FARMER Twice sent to the Mental Hospital for medical observation and with one term on Roto Roa Island to his credit, Albert Joseph Vance Ryan appeared at the Police Court aflain this morning. The problem of what to do with him was postponed by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., for a week. JjTAN, a clerk aged 25, pleaded guilty to fradulently obtaining £5 from Leonard Pauline by representf Q g that he would instal electric light fa the latter’s home. There was a further charge o£ obtaining £5 from Thomas Glanville by means of a valueJ 6BB cheque. The date of this ofrence, to which Ryan also pleaded was October, 1927, and it was ex Plained by Chief-Detective Hamm °nd that the charge was brought a Sain only through Ryan’s breach of Probation. According to the chief-detective, had met Mr. Pauline in an Jotel last December.
