DEAD NEAR GAS-RING
EVIDENCE OF SUICIDE Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. Monday. Robert James Watson Mitchell, aged 58, married, was found lying dead in the kitchen of his home in Oxford Terrace with a gas-ring turned on close to his head. At the inquest to-day. evidence was given that deceased had been in normal health, and had given no indication that he was likely to take his own life. The coroner. Mr. E. C. Levvey. S.M.. returned a verdict that death was due to asphyxia following poisoning from coal gas self-adminis-tered.
