NEW COASTER ORDERED
FOR UNION COMPANY’S FLEET Pieas Association WELLINGTON. Sunday. The Union Steam Ship Company has let a tender to the Ardrossan Shipbuilding Company, of Ardrossan, on the Clyde, for a new cargo steamer of 4,400 tons dead-weight, to steam at 12 knots under service conditions at sea. She will be oil-burning, but bull:, so as to be readily convertible for using pulverised coal as fuel. She will be a’ single-screw boat, and is to be delivered at the end of the year. | She will be put on the Dunedin to Auckland, via intermediate ports, trade.
