ANZAC DAY SERVICES -'I I T Y OF A UC K L A X D. ANZAC DAY, APRIL 25, 1922. FOURTEENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LANDING OF THE NEW ZEALAND FORCES ON GALLIPOLI PENINSULA. COMMEMORATIVE SERVICE AT 11 A.M., TOWN HALL. A Service, commemorative of the New Zealanders who fell in the Great War, will be held on THURSDAY. April 25. 1929, at the Town Hall, Auckland, at 11 a.m. The Service will be conducted by His Worship the Mayor of Auckland (presiding). His Grace the Primate and Archbishop the Most Rev. A. W. Averill, D.D. Chaplain Major Arthur Mitchell, Chaplain to the Forces. Rev. G. T. Robson, M.C.. R.N., Chaplain to the Forces. Doors will be open at 10.15 a.m. for admission of next-of-kin, who, upon application. may obtain admission tickets to the Gallery from the Secretary, Returned Soldiers’ Association, Soldiers’ Club, Customs Street East. Seats will be reserved for ticket-hold-ers until 10.45 a.m., when the public will be admitted. The Ground Floor will be reserved for Returned Soldiers and Veterans. Loud Speakers will be installed for the broadcasting of the Town Hall Service, and programmes of the Service will be distributed to those unable to gain entry to the Hall, but who desire to take part in the Service. A Parade will take place from the Queen’s Wharf to the Town Hall, and Returned Soldiers are eaiTiestly requested to take part 'therein. CENOTAPH, TOWN HALL.—Citizens may deposit floral tributes at the base of the Cenotaph in front of the Town Hall, and such tributes will be taken to the Soldiers’ Memorial at Waikumete. At the conclusion of the above Service, the ceremony of depositing the official wreaths at the Cenotaph will take place. Seats (not exceeding 100 in number) will be placed within the Cenotaph enclosure for the use of elderly Mothers of fallen soldiei-s, tickets for which may be obtained from the Secretary of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, or the Hon. Secretary, Southern Cross League. WAIKUMETE CEMETERY.—A Service, presided over by his Worship the Mayor, will be held at the Soldiers’ Memorial, Waikumete Cemetery, at 3 p.m., when the Rev. Angus Macdonald, 0.8. E., former Chaplain to the Forces, will deliver Lin Address. A train will leave Auckland for Glen Eden at 1.50 p.ni., returning from that station at 4.40 P SECONDARY SCHOOLS.—A Service will also be held at the Town Hall at 3 p.m.-for Scholars attending the various Secondary Schools in Auckland and District.
