Wilson have been returned unopposed for the Hospital Board and Power Board respectively. NEW LYNN’S FIRST MAYOR FOUR SEEK OFFICE COUNCIL COMPETITION Competition for the honour of being elected the first Mayor of the newlyconstituted borough of New Lynn will be keen. When the nominations closed at noon yesterday four names appeared on the list. There were 11 nominations for the six seats on the council, and four will contest the honour of being the borough’s representative on the Waitemata Power Board. The nominations were: Mayor—Messrs. Charles Fisher Gardner, Isaac Hughes, Horace Oakley Brown, and Walter Leigh Titchener. Council (six seats) —Messrs. Frederick Charles Clement Cal.der, Harry Dove, Stanley John James, George Lawson, John Frederick May, William Platt, Charles Aloysius Stanley, Ruben Percy Ward, William John Woodcock.
