COUNTRY CO-OPERATION
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WILL HOLD CONFERENCE Desiring that there should be better co-operation between town and country members the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, which met yesterday afternoon, announced that a conference would be held in Winter Show week at the end of July. It was hoped that many representatives of country bodies would attend and it was agreed that members should entertain them while in the city. The other arrangements were left in the hands of a special committee. A special report was read dealing with the .affiliation of outside bodies with the chamber under a trade section scheme. The recommendations contained in the report were adopted by the council, subject to a few alterations.
