LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
MANUREWA BRANCH VISITED BY HER EXCELLENCY Her Excellency the Lady Alice Fersuason paid her initial visit to Manulewa Yesterday afternoon, when she •addressed a crowded gathering in the Marfurewa town hall of members and mends of the Manurewa branch of the League of Mothers. Mrs. C. S. McCallum. president of ine branch, extended a cordial welcome to her Excellency, and expressed the pleasure of the branch in having «er present, and after an address by her Excellency the president thanked . er or tke very instructive talk, which much appreciated by the large gathering. Her Excellency dealt in a very comprehensive manner with the Jums and objects of the League of Mothers. Her Excellency received a beautiful shower bouquet from little Heather Carroll, on behalf of the members of the branch. During the afternoon vocal solos were given by Mrs. Denize and Miss Aoungson. The accompanist was Madame Aileen Frost. The National Anthem was played by Mrs. V. Clark. A guard of honour was formed by the Manurewa Brownie Pack.
