YOUTH ADMITS TWO OFFENCES TRUSTED BY EMPLOYER Unlawful conversion of a car valued at £250 and theft of 17 fowls were admitted by an 18-year-old labourer, John Ijerbert James Mayhill, in the Police Gourt this morning. Sub-Inspector McCarthy said that Mayhill, who was remanded for sentence to April 24, had taken the car from his employer and went for a joyride with three or four others. “I understand the young man had an accident, too,” Mr. McCarthy said. In his work at Archhill this Young man hafl the complete confidence of his employer had the run of the premises.” Mr.. McCarthy went on to say that the fowls, 'which were taken from George Frederick Raven and had been valued at £5, were sold by Mayhill for about 18 s. The conversion of the car took place on March 29 and the theft of the fowls on April 11.
