£940,000 FOR MINERS
fund to close this month British QJficial "Wireless RUGBY, Tuesday. The Lord Mayor of London’s fund for the relief of distressed miners, which will be closed on April 30, now amounts to £940,000. The Government’s contribution of a like amount will be added to this total for distribution among deserving cases.
According to “The Times” of February the fund then exceeded £710,000. out which £440,871 had been distributed.
