AUCKLAND OFFICERS FOR SAMOA transfers announced Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. The following transfers and promotions in tilt* Police Force are announced by Commissioner W. B. McJlveney: — Sub-Inspector J. Fitzpatrick, Christchurch, is promoted to inspector and takes charge of the Greymouth East; Senior-Sergeant. P. J. O’Hara, of Christchurch, is promoted to subinspector and remains at Christchurch; Senior-Sergeant T. Shanahan, Oamaru, replaces Senior-Sergeant O'Hara; Senior-Sergeant D. Scott, of Wellington, goes to Oamaru: SeniorDetective R. Ward, of Wellington, transfers to the uniform branch; Senior-Sergeant Charles W. Lopdell, of Wanganui, is transferred from the uniform branch to be chief-detective at Wellington: Senior-Sergeant D. A. Maclean, Gisborne, is transferred to Wanganui; Sergeant H. C. D. Wade, Wairoa. is appointed senior-sergeant at Gisborne; Sergeant E. Quaile, Napier, takes charge at Wairoa; Sergeant J. R. Hodgson, Wellington, transfers to Napier: Detective T. Fitzgibbon, Napier, is promoted to detec-tive-sergeant and remains at Napier; Constable J. Carmody, of Thorndoii station, Wellington, is promoted to sergeant, and remains at Wellington; Constable D. Crowe, Picton, is transferred to Thorndon; Constable T. N. Condon, Brooklyn, takes charge of Picton: Constable E. W. Strafon, Upper Hutt. takes charge at Brooklyn: Detective-Sergeant J. Thompson, Wellington, is transferred to Hamilton; Detective F. Sinclair, Auckland, is transferred to Nelson; Constable T. Y. Hall, Nelson, transferred to the detective office. Wellington; ActingDetective Waterson and Constable Fell, of Auckland. are detailed for duty with the Samoan Police Force
