LOSS OF FIVE STEERS

TWO MEN CHARGED WITH THEFT COMMITTED FOR TRIAL Press Association BLENHEIM, To-day. In the Blenheim Magistrate’s Court to-day Ray Hebberd and Reginald Stuart Forbes were charged with stealing five steers, the property of Bryan Greensill, a farmer, of Kenepuru Sound. The cattle allegedly were sold to a stock dealer, and subsequently traced to a Picton butcher. The defence was a complete denial of the sale of the cattle. Accused were committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Bail was allowed each accused for £2OO on his own recognisance and one surety for a like amount.
