THE WEST LOQU ASSUCK. —Messrs. Dalgety and Company advises that the West Loquassuck will arrive at Wellington to-morrow with a cargo of motorcars from New York.
MELBOURNE SERVICE.—The Union Company’s passenger steamer Manuka, which was a day late in reaching Wellington yesterday from Melbourne, sails this afternoon for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and Melbourne.
RIMUTAKA POSTPONED.—The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised that the departure of the liner Rimutaka from Wellington for Southampton and London, via Panama, has been postponed until April 24.
POOLTA FROM AUSTRALIA. The Union Company reports that the Poolta left Port Stephens on Sunday and Newcastle on Monday, and Sydney yesterday for New Plymouth, Wellington* Picton and Auckland. She is due at Wellington next Tuesday.
SYDNEY STEAMERS. —The Marama leaves Auckland at 3 p.m. on Friday for Sydney and the Maunganui from "Wellington the same day. The Ulimaroa sails from Sydney at noon on Friday for Auckland. All the three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning.
THE TASMANIA.—The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Tasmania, which arrived at Napier at 6 a.m. on Monday from Wellington left Napier last night for Gisborne and Auckland to fill up. She is now timed to sail finally from Auckland next Tuesday for New York, Boston, Halifax, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool.
BENHOLM LEAVES NEW YORK.— Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the A. and A. Line chartered steamer Benholm left New York last Wednesday, and Hampton Roads on Thursday, with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on May 9.
RARANGA DUE FRlDAY.—Leaving Napier at 11 o’clock this evening for Auckland, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Raranga is due here on Friday morning to load under the agency of A. S. Paterson and Co. From here the vessel proceeds to Wellington, where she completes loading, and finally departs on April 24 for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow, and Liverpool, via Panama.
TAINUI'S VOYAGE.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s Tainui arrived at Wellington at 8.20 p.m. on Sunday from Home. The vessel loaded at London and proceeded to Southampton to pick up her passengers and mails. She left Southampton on March 1, and encountered heavy weather until March. 8. Finer conditions prevailed until arrival at Colon on March 16. Passing through Panama Canal, the Tainui arrived at Balboa at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 17. The passengers went ashore for a few hours, and the voyage was resumed at 9 p.m. on the same day. Fine weather prevailed in the Pacific until within a week’s steaming of Wellington, -when two or three days' strong winds and rough seas were met with. No call was made at Pitcairn Island. On March 21 the Tainui met the Tairoa by arrangement by radio, and took aboard four stoyaways from the latter vessel. The stowaways were permitted their freedom on the Tainui until they were handed over to the police yesterday morning. The voyage was made enjoyable for the passengers by deck games and sports, a cinema entertainment, and dancing. A number of bovs for Flock House arrived under charge of Mr. Ivey. The liner brought five first-class passengers, 12 secondclass and 99 steerage.

Elford is in command of the Tainui, and his officers are: Chief. Mr. H. Seddall*. second, Mr. E. T. Baker; third, Mr. L. Hopkins; fourth, Mr. J. G. Allen; surgeon, Dr. E. Blewitt; chief engineer, Mr. G. Arthur: second, Mr. J. Tait; third. Mr. T. Richardson; fourth, Mr. A. D. Williams: fifth, Mr. S. Ledger; sixth, Mr. H. Taylor; first refrigerating engineer, Mr. J. Bainbridge: second, Mr. J. Bewick; boilermaker. Mr. S. YVood; electrician. Mr. J. Rudd; chief steward. Mr. J. Leslie.
The Tainui will leave Wellington tomorrow afternoon for Auckland to put out the remainder of her cargo.
