Obituary

REV. PENE TOPI The death occurred on Monday in the Te Kuiti Hospital of the Rev. Pene Topi, Anglican Maori missioner. The late Mr. Topi was ordained deacon in 1907 and priest in 1911. He had laboured in the Te Kuiti district since 1907, and is a member of the Ngatai tribe. A special service was held on Tuesday in the Anglican Church, after which the body was taken to the Maori Pa. where a tangi is in progress. The Rev. Pene Topi is survived by his wife and four children-
