SUCCESSES IN LONDON DRAWING SOCIETY’S AWARDS (United P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Pi'ess Associationj Reed. 12.24 p.m. LONDON, Monday. New Zealand artists who secured awards at the 40th exhibition at the Guildhall include Miss Nancy Hobson, Miss Phyllis Oxford, Miss Beatrice Morling, and Miss Kate Saxby. The subjects were mostly plants. Miss Gretta McGuire, of Remuera, specialised in oils. The judges regard Australian and New Zealand participation as evidence of increased interest in the purpose of the society, which is to encourage the development of youthful artistry in the Empire.
