RUM-RUNNING RISKS

TOLL OF PROHIBITION ENFORCEMENT (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) WASHINGTON, Fridayr The United States Treasury Department has issued a return showing; that at least 197 persons have lost their lives as a result of prohibition enforcement activities since 1920, of whom 25 died in the last 15 months. These figures do not include deaths in. or at the hands of, coastguard and customs officials, among whom eight deaths recently were recorded.
