Killidie and Orixa ran a dead-heat for third place. Time, 3.275. YEARLINGS FROM SYDNEY In addition to the Tarquin—Marcovara colt bought by Mr. E. W. Alison at the New South Wales sales last week, two colts were bought by Mr. G. Price on account of Mr. John Williamson. The two latter are bred as follows: Brown colt by Polymestor (son of Polymelus) from Ottawa, by Antonio • son of Prisoner). Chestnut colt by Mountain King (son of Wallace) from Obeisance, by Prudent King (.son of Lov© Wisely). Mr. Williamson’s purchases are on the way to Auckland by the steamer Mamma. which vessel is due to arrive at Auckland to-morrow.
