“BIRD IN HAND” NEXT WEEK John Drinkwater’s “Bird in Hand” is to be the next play to be produced by the Auckland Little Theatre Society at the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, on April 10, 11, 12 and 13. This announcement will be received gratefully by the members, as it introduces as a playwright that eminent author, John Drinkwater, whose works have not previously been produced in New Zealand. “Bird in Hand” is regarded as one of Drinkwater’s most brilliant pieces, and is at present being performed in Sydney. It has just concluded a long run in London.
