SUICIDE WHILE DEPRESSED

DEATH FROM SHOT WOUNDS That Hugh Porteous Cameron, of Papatoetoe, died from a gunshot wound, self-inflicted, while in a state of grave mental depression, was the verdict of Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., coroner, at an inquest yesterday. Cameron was found shot, and he died in the Auckland Hospital on Wednesday afternoon. Medical evidence of the cause of death was given by Dr. A. B. Jameson, of Papatoetoe. Mrs. Cameron said her husband had been under the impression that he was financially embarrassed. This, however, was not the case. . . . - - - ~..
