EASTER MEET AT THAMES (From Our Own Correspondent) THAMES, Tuesday. Competitors from all parts of the province were present at the Thames Rod and Gun Club’s Easter shoot at Tapu yesterday. Results were as follow : —• Introductory Handicap Sweepstake (7 birds). —J. Fitt (Hamilton), C. Naylor (Waihi) and E. Thornton (Thames) each shot the possible and divided the stake. Tapu Novice Handicap Sweepstake (6 birds). —G. Russek, 1; E. Russek, 2; C. Plummer, 3. Handicap Sweepstake (9 birds).—J. Amundsen (Matamata), 1; A. McCready (Auckland) and W. R. Smith (Thames) divided second money. Open Handicap Shoot (15 birds). —W. R. Smith (Thames) and S. Parlour (Morrinsville) divided first and second money. J. Amundsen (Matamata), E. Thornton (Thames) and A. Hanigan (Auckland) divided third money. Handicap Shoot (9 birds). —R. 11. Bartley (Auckland), 1. Five competitors were equal, second, and A. McLean (Thames) won the shoot-off. Handicap Sweepstake ‘ (12 birds). —C. Naylor (Waihi), 1; E. King (Waihi) and B. Russek (Morrinsville) divided second and third money. Double Ris<* Handicap (8 birds). —B. Russek (Morrinsville), 1; J. Amundsen (Matamata), 2; E. King, 3.
