FIREMEN FOOLED
The recently installed siren at the railway workshops, Otahuhu, was used yesterday for the first time, and at the 7.30 a.m. call four firemen, fully equipped, together with a large number of residents, gathered at the fire station, in anticipation of seeing a blaze. The only consolation of the gathering, when the origin of the alarm was explained, was that they had celebrated All Fools’ Day early in th« morning. i
