“ATTACK ON AUCKLAND”

CAMP FOR STAFF OFFICERS UNDER CANVAS AT WAJWERA On Thursday the senior staff officers of the Northern Command will gjo into camp at Waiwera for a week. This year they will plan and study an attack on Auckland. Last year they studied the defence of the city. About 40 staff officers will go into camp on Thursday, including Colonel H. R. Potter, C.M.G., officer commanding the Northern Command. and Lieutenant-Colonel J. E. Duigan, JD.S.O. The camp is an annual one, principally for the training of staff officers, hut it also acts as a yearly refresher. Major-General R. Young, C. 8., C.M.G., D. 5.0.. G.O.C. New SSesaland Forces, will arrive on Thursday morning from Wellington with several staff 'facers from headquarters in Wellington.
