CHRISTIAN MEETINGS
EASTER CONVENTION ENDS Last evening the half-yearly Auckland Christian Convention was concluded in Scots Hall. The meetings began on Good Friday morning and aroused great interest, drawing an average attendance of over 500. Addresses and prayer meetings were held continuously all day, save for two intervals for refreshment. The principal Speakers have been Messrs. G. Alenzies, of Napier, C. J. Drake, of Wellington, and Dr. W. H. Pettit and Messrs. J. Spottiswoode, T. R. Cameron, G. Reanney, CL J. Rolls and W. R. Wilson, of Auckland. They have dealt with such subjects as “Christian Worship,” "The Present Position of Christ in Glory,” "God’s Perfect Provision in Jesus Christ,” "Holy Communion or the Real Presence.” and "The Great Days of Scripture." On Sunday one session was given up to the answ*ering of written questions sent in beforehand on subjects from the Scriptures, and another to the hearing of reports on religious work in other parts of the country. In the evening an open-air testimony meeting was held, followed by an evangelist meeting conducted by Air. T. R. Cameron. The speakers at the final meeting held last evening were Air. W. R. Wilson and Airs. C. J. Rolls.
