THAT RASCAL NOBODY
Sir, — I thought so; it was that rascal Nobody who was responsible for the Mount Eden reservoir calamity. How determinedly he persecutes our unique City Council —and incidentally harasses both ratepayers and residents! Where will his wickedness end? In the downfall of our civic government at the next election? Or will he aim at wider scope for his malevolence? Already there is talk of our councillors helping to guide the new State Transport Department. And the Government has many other anxieties to face—security of its dams and State forests, censoring of pictures, and what not. Supposing the Cabinet took Auckland’s chosen and engaged them as an advisory board of counsellors. Xobodv would chuckle then. PERIPATETIKOS
