TENTH FAVOURITE WINS.—In the first event of the Auckland Racing Club’s autumn fixture to-day 17 horses faced the barrier, and an excel lent race resulted. Our photograph shows the tenth favourite, Respirator, Goldfinch up, winning by half a length from Black Maire, who was favourite.The remainder of the field followed, closely bunched, three lengths behind.
