EASTER AT ST. PAUL’S
All the splendour of an Easter fes- : aval in the English tradition was seen ; at St. Paul's Anglican Church yesterj day, when large congregations ! part in the 6, 7. and S a.m. early Com- : munions, and the Solemn High Celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 11. The vicar, the Rev. Cecil Watson, j was celebrant at all services, and at 11 ; was assisted by the Rev. C. Rawson, i who acted as deacon, and Mr. F. S. T. I Little, sub-deacon. A feature of the ; service was a procession headed by a cross-bearer. The service was deeply devotional and many people made their communion. The sermon was preached by Mr. Rawson, who is a missionary on furlough from Melanesia. Solemn evensong again saw a large congregation of worshippers. The choir was assisted by an orchestra of drums, trombones and trumpets, the music for which was arranged by the organist. Dr. W. E. Thomas. The vicar preached on the subject, “Is the ResUiTccticn Credible V”
