DIXIELAND CABARET

TWO SPECIAL EVENINGS The delightfully situated Dixieland Cabaret will be the scene of a number of pleasant dances during the Easter holidays, commencing with a special Easter dance this evening at 8.30 p.m. On Easter Monday there will be two dances, an afternoon tea dance and a great “Patsy” night in the evening, when Miss Irene Homer and her fellow players will be present. To-night and on Monday evenings there will be a special attraction in the appearance of the Midget Moselles, the sparkling juvenile cabaret | dancers in wonderful solo and troupe numbers. The famous Dixieland Dance Band will provide the music. “THE PATRIOT” AT BRITANNIA “The Patriot,” Emil Jannings’s great picture of the Russian Tsarist’s court of 100 years ago, will be shown at the Britannia Theatre this evening. With Jannings himself playing the role of the Tsar, supported by such players as Florence Vidor, Lewis -Stone, Vera Voronini, and many others, “The Patriot” brings to the screen a story of such power and dramatic sweep that critics have hailed it as a historic cameo of more than ordinary significance In

fidelity to detail, accuracy and characterisation, it might well be preserved for fLitLire generations to study as a means for arriving at a thorough understanding of an interesting period in Russian history.
