INQUIRY BY STEWARDS EVA RETA’S SUCCESS Press Association HAWERA, To-day. The Hawera Trotting- Club's annual meeting opened in fine, but cloudy weather before a good attendance. The track was slightly softened by the previous two days’ rain. Before the racing was commenced an inquiry was held concerning the handicapping of Ukulele Lady, the nomination of which did not state the mare was lately Pandora, of Australia. The committee exonerated the handicapper, and the owner voluntarily scratched Ukulele Lady for the day's engagements.
