PRIMATE’S APPEAL

FOR FAMILY OF “WOODBINE WILLIE” (Australian and .V.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Tuesday. The former Primate, Lord Davidson, the Archbishop of York, Dr. Cosmo Lang, and the Bishop of London, Dr. Winnington Ingram, are heading a movement to raise £7,000 to provide for the widow and three, sons of “Woodbine Willie,” the late Rev. G. Studdert Kennedy, who died on March 8. They were left inadequately provided for. “Woodbine Willie” earned large sums of money through his writings, but practically all was immediately ear-marked for charities, so that his only savings were £3,000 on his life insurance.
