MR. DAVY FETED
UNITED PARTY ORGANISER HOME TOWN'S CELEBRATION Press Association GISBORNE, Wednesday. A largely attended and enthusiastic smoke concert was tendered at Gisborne by political supporters and registered athletes to Mr. A. E. Davy, chairman of the United Party, who. prior to his departure for "Wellington, lived at Gisborne. Tributes were paid to Mr. Davy’s organising ability both in the political and the athletic world. The guest was presented by the Gisborne centre of the New Zealand Cycle. Athletic, and Axemen's Union with an illuminated address, expressing appreciation of his lengthy association with professional sport.
