“THE SLIVER LINING"
“CONFLICT OF TWO BROTHERS” "The Silver Lining," the latest British International picture due shortly for release in New Zealand by Cinema Art Films, is based on the original story specially written for the screen by Bai David. The story concerns the contrast between two brothers, one a moral and physical weakling, the other a square-dealing stalwart, who both live with their widow' mother. Both are in love with the same girl, who becomes engaged to the square-dealing brother. This incurs the hatred of of the w r eak-willed John. Complications ensue which make a thoroughly exciting picture and eventually combine in a totally and unexpected thrilling climax. Apart from the dramatic values, “The Silver Lining" is notable for its beautiful English scenery and remarkable acting of a cast which includes Eve Cray, Pat Aherne, Marie Ault and Sydney Fairbrother. Mary Pickford lias announced the addition of Matt Moore to the cast of her all-talking production of “Coquette.” Moore will play the role of Stanley Wentw r orth. John Gales, who had been chosen previously to play the role of Stanley, was also under contract to appear on the stage in San Francisco, and found that the screen work would interfere with his stage
