Less success was experienced with the trials of blackberry and gorse parasites. It was found very difficult t-o acclimatise them, and induce them t& breed freely. The meeting decided tp continue the tests and to conduct trials on all economic plants likely to be affected.
A scheme of forest biological re* search is to be prepared. The object is to protect native forests and plantations against the ravages of insect?,
