CHILD BADLY HURT

KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTORCYCLE As the result of being knocked down by a motor-cycle as she ran across the road near her home yesterday. Ivy Jean Burr, aged nine, whose parents live in Baxter Road, Mount Eden, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital with serious injuries to her back. An operation was performed last evening and her condition this morning was reported to be improving.
