MARTON'S BIG DAY

McGirr’s team will include C. B. Dempster. who topped the batting averages on the New Zealanders’ tour, and who has this season scored over 1,000 runs with the splendid average of 127. K. James, another Dominion "rep.”, adorns the side, as also F. T. Badcock, the ex-Wellington professional, who is regarded as one of the best bowlers in New Zealand to-day. The match takes place on Easter Saturday and Monday, and on the Sunday the visitors go to Moawhango (Taihape), where Lowry, Chapman and Bettington will play for the home side.
