CARNIVAL HANDICAPS A well-arranged programme has been drawn up for the third swimming carnival —the final meeting this s-eason—of the Grammar Club, to be held to-morrow evening in the tepid baths. It has now been fixed that no fewer that four attempts will be made by Aucklanders on New Zealand records. Ena Stockley, New Zealand women’s sprint champion, will try to lower her own times for the free-style 100yds. and 100 metres. Gordon Bridson. New Zealand quar-ter-mile champion and Auckland distance champion, will attempt a new record for the 220yds. N. K. Sylow will make his effort in a breaststroke swim over 220yds.
