ORGAN RECITAL

A series of selections from the organ works of Vierne, Bach and Mansfield were played by the city organist, Mr. Maughan Barnett, in the Town Hall last evening. Tod Browning is directing from an original story written by himself. Karl Dane and George K. Arthur are partners in crime as well as comedy in “Brotherly Love,” which will shortly be screened in Auckland. In this new Metro-Gold wyn-Mayer production, a gaol football team supplies the principal motivation behind the love interest. in whicli the governor’s pretty daughter is the centre complication. Lane and Arthur, as the prison football gladiators, duel with touch-downs for her hand, and their football antics are uproarious with side-splitting situations. Jean Arthur (no relation to George) is the leading lady.
