ANOTHER WOOL SALE
WANTED BY BROKERS VIEWS OF ASSOCIATION An extra annual wool sale at Auckland is desired by the Auckland Wool Brokers' Association. Mr. E. M. The large amount of wool held in the local stores during that period justifies a sale in January. Practically half the Au< . bulk stores here twice a season, on account of this “sale shortage.” Several branches ol the New Zealand Farmers’ Union are anxious to help us in our efforts to get another sale,” said Mr. Edgar. “We have been striving to get it for som.* time. The whole trouble is that we cannot get the wool buyers to agree to put it on their roster.” Mr. Edgar pointed out that it was really a difficult thing for th * buyers to arrange a roster that would suit all sale centres, and also suit themselves. Public holidays, train and boat arrangements. and other factors all entered into the drawing up of a roster. The buyers want to please everybody, but it is difficult. They are working to a roster that has been in use lor some time, and they do not seem inclined to try an improvement. “We are going to continue in our efforts,” added Mr. Edgar. “We want a sale in November, another in early January, and the third in late Febru-
