BRIDSON AND SYLOW SWIMMING AT TEPID BATHS At the Tepid Baths next Wednesday evening, when the Grammar Swimming Club holds Its third carnival this season,’ Gordon Bridson, quarter-mile and half-mile New Zealand champion, will make an attempt on the 220yds. free-style record.

Mount Eden is playing Parnell In the final of the water polo competition, and Devonport will play Waitemata B in a second water polo game. Another attempt at a. record will be made by N. K. Sylow, the powerful Ponsonby breaststroke swimmer, over the 220yds.

Besides a big programme, there are men's, women’s and medley sprints, and an interclub dual relay for the Walter Batty Cup. Entries close to-day. Kathleen Miller, of Wellington, women's distance champion, will now not be able to race at the carnival.
