ANNUAL MEETINGS Annua! meetings of city and suburban Rugby clubs arc reported as follow ; CITYS GOOD Mr. S. Garland presided. An increased membership of over SO was reported, and reference was made to the splendid performance of the senior fifteen in finishing fourth in a keenly-contested competition, officers were elected as follow: —Patron, the Mayor, Air. G. JJaildon; president, Air. C. G. Maeindoe; vice-presidents, last year's re-eleeted. with the addition of Messrs. 11. Al. Matson. J. Turnbull, B. Goldwater. K. Mitehclson. J. Miller, J. Otway, H. J. Kclleher, O. V. Garland, McKinney, T. Watson; hon. secretary, Mr. H. Oakley; hon. treasurer, Mr. G. R. Metcalfe; delegates to Auckland Rugby Union, H. Oakley, Jl. Barnes. E. \V. Clement; to junior management board. Mr. L. Gorwaga; club captain, Mr. S. Garland: management committee, Messrs. R. Mitchelson. L. Cornaga, 13. W. Clement, G. Fenton. H. Barnes. The president intimated that nc would donate a medal for the best player in each team taking part in the various grades this season, and he Was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his kind offer. ~ . Twenty new members were enrolled *nd the prospects for the coming season seem particularly bright. SUBURBS CLUB Mr. Kelsall presided over an attendance of l!0 members. The secretary, Mr. C. E. Barry, donated his honorarium to the train-ing-shed fund. The Peace Cup is to be challenged for immediately. WAIMAUKU The annual meeting of the Wairnuuku Football Club was held in the Coronation Hall. Mr. A. Wintour presided over a record attendance. The following officers were elected.:. President, Mr. A. A keen interest was shown m tne method of insuring players in the Ivaipara Rugby Union. It was recommended to delegates to take up the question of reinsuring with insurance companies. Strong exception was taken to representative players playing in junior teams.
