Y.W.C.A. NEWS

A successful afternoon conference of board and committees of .the Y.W.C.A was held on Friday, when Mrs. J. A. Bradstreet presided and opened the conference with a short address on the association’s activities. This was followed by a roll call of committees, the chairwomen, Mesdames J. C. Dickinson, G. IT. Wilson, E. E. Daniels, Todd Smith. T. Clark, D. Cole, M. Rudd, J. A. Bradstreet, and Misses Dempsey, E. Fleming, and Wagstaff, answering and giving short reports on their various departments. This was followed by a social hour, when members of committees "were given an opportunty to meet one another. Activities of tlie association were discussed, and Aliss Cramond, physical director, gave a most interesting talk on correct posture for women. The final hour was given to the launching of a membership campaign, most ably introduced by Mrs. T. Clark. It was decided that a “Two and two” campaign for members should be started at once, those present showing a gre*at interest in the proposal. It is anticipated that there will be a substantial increase in interest and sustaining increase in interest and sustaining members during the next few months.
