PARTY FOR VISITOR
i Airs. Latclimore, of Napier, was the ! guest of honour at a delightful afternoon tea party given by Mrs. W. Johnston at her home in St. Stephen’s Avenue, Parnell. Pink and blue asters made effective decoration in the drawing-room, where Ali-s. Johnston received her guests, and bowls of Michaelmas daisy were arranged in the lounge. Several songs by Airs. Howard Thomas were very much appreciated and the latter part of the afternoon was spent in playing bridge. Mrs. Johnston was gowned in a smartly panelled frock of beige lace and georgette. Miss B. Johnston, assisting her mother, wore a floral georgetto gown of French grey and rose colours, and Miss Rona Johnston was in a Chinese red knit silk frock. Among those present were: Airs. O. Symes, Airs. Howard Thomas, Mrs. D’Arcy, Airs. N. Levien. Mrs. C. R. Keeble, Airs. J. R. Brigham, Airs. F. Fitchett, Airs. E. Allen, Mrs. F. Lysnar, Airs. Furley, Airs. R. G. Sellars, Airs. J. Ring, Airs. "Waterhouse, Airs. E. H. Northcroft, Airs. W. Morris, Mrs. G. H. Kissling, Airs. E. Williams, Aliss Hoare, Aliss King, Miss Pratt, Aliss Flockton and Messrs. F. Lysnar, W. Johnston, Lysnar, Cowell, Tomlinson, N. Levien and F. Hammond.
