Season's Last Match
To-Morrow’s A.C.A. Cricket
Parnell to Play Grafton
THE la*t matches of the season in the Auckland Cricket Association's senior A grade competition are to be commenced to-morrow, and will be completed on April 6. The r, Eden, will meet Y.M.C.A. on Eden Park, No. 2 wicket.
The oilier two teams principally concerned in the final battle for the championship are Varsity and Pon--onby. The former is one point, and the latter two points, behind Eden. Now that Bowloy is on the Homeward voyage Eden should have no difficulty in securing a three-point win, unless, of course, the unexpected happens. Ponsonby also should defeat United Suburbs, the only question about the match seems to be whether ••r not the Ponies can get a fourpointer. The University students travel over i lie water to North Shore for the day, and will probably find the local men t somewhat harder proposition than they were a month or so ago. Should Varsity, however, manage to secure a four-pointer, and Eden only a threepointer. then the teams will be level it the head of the ladder. On the main arena at headquarters, Parnell is down to meet Grafton, and on performances a close contest is expected between these old rivals.
