PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT The board of managers of the Seddon Memorial Technical College, at a meeting yesterday afternon, granted authority to the principal to proceed with the purchase of equipment for th© various departments to the value of £1.573 10s. The principal, Mr. G. J. Park, said it was necessary to increase steadily the equipment provided for the students. The provision of an agricultural area at Otahuhu for practical work by students of agriculture at the college was discussed. It was decided to leave the question in the hands of the Education Department until such time as the Minister decided on a definite scheme for post-primary education.
