“TOMMY ATKINS” THIS EVENING The new programme to be shown at the Strand Theatre this evening will be headed by the excellent British picture, “Tommy Atkins.” Captain Norman Walker directed

It is full of popular appeal, | thrilling sequences and great acting, while the photography is brilliant : in its clearness. | It must be pointed out that “Tommy Atkins” is not a | war film. Most of the action takes place in Egypt and
depicts an attack by a rebel tribe of natives on a British fort. The cast includes Lilian Hall-Davis, Henry Victor and Walter Byron. Mr. Byron is the man Samuel Goldwvrn has chosen as Vilma Banky's leading man. Jerrold Robertshaw and Shayle Gardner support, while charming little Pat Courtney is seen for a short while at the beginning. For the fighting sequences the Army Council loaned the 2nd Battalion Somerset Regiment, Ist Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, Ist Battalion Suffolk Regiment and 15/19 Hussars.
