FIRE AT WHANGAREI
An outbreak of fire occurred at 10.45 o’clock last night in the factory of Messrs. James and Whimp, coach and motor-body builders, in Whangarei. The fire was first seen by SeniorSergeant O’Grady, who lives next door, and one of the owners, Mr. James, who is a member of the local fire brigade, was first on the scene. He checked the flames with the shop hose, and on the arrival of the brigade the outbreak was quickly suppressed. Little damage was caused.
