BOARD IN IGNORANCE

Members of the Rangitoto Island Board, which met at Devonport last evening, expressed much surprise on being informed that a private concern had taken about 6.000 cubic yards of stone from a long disused quarry ,n Islington Bay. Rangitoto. without the board having any knowledge of the operations. The clerk was instructed to request immediately the quarry operators to refrain from removing any more stone.
